How Can I Find Out About Recreational Activities For My Family To Enjoy?

Many specialized recreation activities are available as well as opportunities to participate in regular recreational programs. In addition, some Parks and Recreation Departments offer special therapeutic recreation opportunities as well as standard programs. Contact the Parks and Recreation Department listed under your county or city in the phone book.  Most programs do not have residency requirements - counties are listed here for your convenience.

Special events, such as the Toy Extravaganza and Special Kids Picnic occur throughout the year. Contact WarmLine Family Resource Center for information regarding these and other events in your area.

If you are interested in sending your child to camp during the summer, you should know that most camps have registration periods during the late winter and spring, so plan to register early.  Alta California Regional Center may pay for your child to attend camp (or other recreational activities).  Contact your service coordinator from more information.

Inclusion of a program or resource does not imply endorsement or recommendation by the WarmLine.
