Parent-to-Parent
Support
Parent
Liaison Program Sacramento County CCS
Sometimes
parents wonder:
- Who
else has experienced a situation like mine?
- When
will we get a diagnosis?
- Where
can I get medical or special education services for
my child and some support for the rest of the family?
- How
can we cope? Where can we get answers?
Sacramento
County ’s California Children’s Services now
provides a
“Parent
Liaison” through a partnership with the
WarmLine
Family Resource Center .
The
parent liaison helps families better understand how
CCS works and can offer free support and information
to families who have a child with special health care
needs. The Parent Liaison divides her time between the
WarmLine Family Resource Center and the CCS office in
Sacramento and also visits the Medical Therapy Program
sites.
Parents
can get free assistance with:
- Information
and Referral
- Linking
families with services – whatever might be needed
